Archie blk patent - Very cute shoe. I bought the blk patent. The leather is soft and the shoe is stylish and comfortable. I always need a 9W in SW but need 9.5W in these.

Apparently Dr Martens have moved some of their manufacturing oversees to the Orient; these are not the boots DM used to make. The soles and general construction are sub-par. The wearability is poor, but that is not evident until after wearing them for a short period of time, at which time you cannot return them. I have been wearing this style of DM for 15 years and this pair does not feel like it will last 1 year. What a letdown.

Another winner from Sofft - Have been a fan of Sofft shoes for a while now - they are one of the few brands that genuinely is wearable and super cute at the same time. No suffering ever. Another (slightly smaller than Jazz) winner from Saucony - My first pair of Saucony shoes were running shoes in my twenties; they gave great cushioning and were inoffensive enough that I kept them for three years of regular wear. Second pair were the Jazz originals; worn daily when I returned to college in my late twenties/thirties. Good looking enough for every day and soft enough for the gym/bike/train/walking routine. Enter new pair, only because the soles finally wore off of the others. These are definitely shorter in the toes box than my other pair, which I was okay with, since the others stretched out a bit. I don't mind the word courageous really, it?s a good word. Furthermore, you can't really see it if your pants are long enough and the person looking at them isn't a garden gnome.
